Subaru Expert Shares Trick for Driving in Bad Weather
A Subaru expert has shared a useful trick for driving in bad weather, specifically for cleaning the backup camera lens on newer Subaru models.

According to @youngsubaruogden, a TikTok creator and car dealer, newer Outback, Ascent, Forester, and Crosstrek Subaru models come with a nozzle above the backup cam that releases wiper fluid to clean the lens when it’s covered in mud, rock salt, or anything else.
- Twist the rear windshield washer and hold it
- Windshield washer fluid will spray out of a separate nozzle over the camera to clean it
This trick has gained over 600 thousand views on TikTok since its release on October 9, 2025.
