Sydney Battery Spinout Expands to Japan
University of Sydney spinout Gelion Technologies has announced a partnership with TDK, a Japanese multinational electronics corporation, to advance its lithium sulfur battery technology.
This move follows Gelion's successful fundraising effort, which secured over £10 million ($A20.5 million) from existing and new shareholders.
TDK, a major supplier of batteries to tech giant Apple, will help Gelion transition its technology into the prototype and production phase from Japanese factories.
