The City of Lawton has announced the appointment of Jari Askins as interim city attorney, as revealed on Wednesday.

Askins will succeed Deputy City Attorney Timothy Wilson, who had been serving in the interim role since John Andrew's departure in February. Lawton Mayor Stan Booker expressed gratitude towards Wilson for his time in the role.
