Omdia Reveals Big Picture on AMOLEDs
Analysts predict AMOLED sales to recover across the second half of the year and help offset challenging conditions in the opening six months.
Omdia expressed confidence the global AMOLED market would remain lucrative in 2025, though indicated the release of fresh smartphone and mobile PC models would not be enough to top the $54 billion in revenue booked in 2024.
David Hsieh, senior director for display, expressed optimism the AMOLED sector would recover from its current stagnation in 2026.
Omdia expects $53 billion in revenue for the full year, with broad rises in AMOLED shipments fuelled by demand for low-temperature polycrystalline oxide backplane flexible smartphone displays and polysilicon variants for mobile PCs.
