A New Partnership to Support People with Brain Injuries

Headway Devon, a local charity based in Exeter, specializes in helping individuals rehabilitate from head injuries.

They have partnered with Thompsons Solicitors, MAPS Benevolent Trust, and the Players of the Postcode Lottery to provide support to people with brain injuries.

After brain injury people are discharged home to a family network without wider support. You've spent months in hospital, in ICU, in rehabilitation with a team of clinicians around you and suddenly you're all alone.

This partnership aims to address the issue of people being discharged from hospital without adequate support, often still recovering and navigating the complexities of their brain injury.

With this new partnership, Headway Devon can now reach out to people in the hospital, providing them with the necessary support and guidance during their recovery.

Currently, Headway Devon works with around 100 people every week, but there are many more who are discharged without knowing about their services.
